Launching of the Creole Language and Culture Research Institute

The Creole Language and Culture Research Institute was launched on Wednesday 26th October 2016 in a ceremony at the University of Seychelles, Anse Royale campus.

Under its motto “Nou kiltir, nou konesans, nou lidantite”, the Institute aspires to be the knowledge hub for creole languages and cultures in the Indian Ocean. Present at the launch was the Minister for Tourism and Culture, Mr Alain St Ange, who stated that we need to add more value to our creole language, defend it and value its importance in society.
